Meet the Team

Dan Pisani DC

Daniel, is the owner and principle Chiropractor at Merthyr Chiropractic Clinic. He established the clinic in 2006 after practicing in Cardiff for 3 years.

Daniel graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2003, where he was held in such high esteem that he was asked to assist in teaching immediately after graduating. He has worked teaching Chiropractic technique and supervising 4th year Chiropractic students for 12 years and has taught radiology to the 3rd year students for 6 years. After 12 years teaching Daniel has now decided to dedicate himself to full-time practice.

He has specific interest in the treatment of children and babies, as he is a proud father himself, and knows the benefits of chiropractic care for infants and children.

He has trained with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS), and has developed his own style of treatment by combining; the medical traditions of the West and the East. By combining the health benefits of Chiropractic with Acupuncture, he is able to offer a broad perspective of care, suitable for everyone.

Daniel is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), the oldest chiropractic association in the world.

Glen Hillier DC

Glen Hillier has been a valued member of our team since December 2007, he graduated from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2006 and enjoyed a good working reputation in Bournemouth and Fordingbridge, before moving to Wales.

Since moving back to Wales to start a family Glen has established himself both in private practice and teaching. Glen currently works in private practice in both Merthyr, Pencoed and Hereford.

“I first experienced Chiropractic as a 13 year old boy, who after 2 weeks of not being able to lift my head up past 45 degrees (following play fighting with a friend) had my neck adjusted and stood upright straight away. I knew I had to learn how to do that!!!”

“I did not fully appreciate the significance of the treatment at the time, but after studying Chiropractic, I now know that if I had not had that adjustment done it is highly likely that I would have significant degeneration at the base of my neck and chronic headaches.”

“I am very happy to be able to pass on the benefits of Chiropractic to you, so you can enjoy a better quality of life”

Glen is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC), a member of the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS) and the British Chiropractic Association (BCA), the oldest chiropractic association in the world.

Kate treating a low back complaint

Kate Mosedale BA (Hons), MChiro DC

Kate discovered chiropractic through her love of dancing. She was auditioning for a scholarship for her dance degree at the Laban Centre, London, and had to have a medical to assess the function of my musculoskeletal system. It was then discovered that she had a problem with her pelvis. Not taking any chances, Kate’s mum took her to a chiropractor. Back then she was just 19 and had never heard of chiropractic.

Kate graduated with a Masters Degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic at the University of Glamorgan in 2009 after four years of full-time study, achieving the “Clinician of the Year” award. Prior to this Kate worked as a rehabilitation assistant in a busy physiotherapy department within the NHS.

Kate noticed an improvement from treatment straight away and knew, that even though she felt sore straight after the adjustments, it was for a good reason. It was a body revelation! These relatively quick results were what drew her to chiropractic. She wanted to understand why she felt instantly better and to share this unique and powerful tool that is chiropractic with others. This apparent ‘reset’ of the body’s central nervous system was to be her new lifestyle choice and career.

Kate has a special interest in acupuncture and she also returned to the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in 2013 to become a Supervising Tutor to the final year Chiropractic students in their clinical year.

She is registered with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). A member of the British Chiropractic Association and the British Medical Acupuncture Society.

Bev’s role is to look after all patients, our regulars, and warmly welcoming new patients to the clinic. Behind the scenes (or screen) Bev keeps our admin flowing. Bev is a busy mother of three girls at home and at work looks after our three Chiropractors just as well!
